Where we are

Corte della Maddalena is situated in the village of Busana, a small town in the upper valley of the river Secchia, a piece of the Apennines, beautiful and pure. A land very rich in historical and naturalistic places, like Canossa Castle, Pietra di Bismantova, the border from Tuscany, with high mountains from where you can see the Mediterranian Sea.

Almost at the same distance from the Po Valley with its beautiful cities (Parma, Modena, Bologna, ...) and close to interesting places like Maranello (Ferrari Museum) or Brescello (Don Camillo e Peppone), but also close from one of the most beautiful Italian seas, the Gulf of Poets, with Portovenere, the Cinque Terre and the small villages of S. Terenzo and Lerici (La Spezia) loved by Byron and Shelley. Close tu Lucca and to Carrara (the land of marble). Corte della Maddalena is in a place full of enogastronomic specialities and local products, like all kind of pasta, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, aceto balsamico, tortellini, chestnuts products, wine, ......
It is a place surrounded by the green of the chestnut trees of the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, which has all the amenities of a large city: pharmacy, grocery, fruit and vegetable stores, newsagents, hairdresser, town hall, post office, doctor studios, church, schools, gym, tennis court, a park with chestnut trees in the middle of the village, the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park Visitor Center.
